The Leichhardt Bowlo has been part of the local community since 1923. We’re member owned, proudly independent and still run with the help of the people who care enough to pitch in.
These days, there’s a fair bit more going on than just lawn bowls. Grab a feed from Blue Ribbon Bistro, settle into the beer garden, catch live music, bring the family down, book a space for a party, or just stop in for a drink.
We’ve been here for more than a century because our community keep backing us, and because we’ve always believed a good local should be for everyone. Turn up as you are and make yourself at home at The Bowlo, Leichhardt.

Get rolling
Get a group together or just come along and enjoy a friendly game. Onboarding and complimentary training are provided to help you get the bowls rolling.
Barefoot bowls is $15 per person for 90 minutes of bowls, or you can hire two rinks adjacent to the beer garden for $300 for 90 minutes for as many bowlers as you like over the booking period.

It’s always party time in the Kids’ Corner, a family friendly, fenced outdoor play area where the little ones can run around while the grown ups sit back and enjoy the day.
With the play area close by and the bistro ready to feed the whole family, parties are easy, relaxed and made for everyone.
We’ll help sort the space, food, drinks and timing, with flexible options for groups of all sizes.
Our place, Your event
Birthdays, work dos, farewell drinks, fundraisers, live music nights — The Bowlo has the space, the kitchen and the experience to make it work. Indoor and outdoor options, a proper auditorium for bigger gigs, and a team that knows how to run a good event.
